When jelly beans broke my tooth

Now yes...I know you guys must be staring up at the title right now, wondering if I'm creating some sort of nonsensical story for no particular reason right? I mean, after all it seems kinda weird to think that something like this could happen quite honestly.
Anyway, well yeah it did so go ahead and laugh your socks off because it's actually pretty amusing to look back on right now if you think about it.
So about 2-3 years ago, my family brought home this bag filled with an assortment of sweets that as I recall had several mint flavoured candy canes, milk chocolate bars and of course a medium sized jar of colourful jelly beans.
Obviously being a huge fan of any sweet related goodie, I headed straight for those jelly beans and within minutes popped in probably about 15-20 pieces. Yup...it was that bad and with the rate that I was going I could've just finished the whole jar in no time.
Still, you get the point. There was literally no way I could stop myself from gobbling them all up. I guess the fact that they looked, smelled and tasted so delicious made them simply irresistible to go untouched.
At that exact point in time that was nothing else my mind could've perceived of other than to finish the whole jar of awesomeness in front of me. Thank god my mom quickly pointed out for me to stop though, upon the sight of the number of jelly beans left. And unfortunately I had no choice but to put them aside for a while.
That however didn't stop me from savouring them over the course of the next 3-4 days where it was when I then started experiencing a painful sensation at my left molar. Well...it didn't have to take me long to find out why I guess.
Nonetheless it was still only a slight discomfort during the first week although when it didn't seem to wanna go away after a couple more days then yeah...I began to feel very, very worried. It was a serious toothache, and as I rolled my tongue across the top of my tooth it felt like something far worse than that.
The awkward sensation of my tongue rubbing in between 2 hard but shaky objects only confirmed one thing: MY TOOTH HAD BROKEN IN HALF!
Like seriously, I was 100% certain of it.
I was on the verge of bawling my eyes out as all I could remember after that was me nervously telling my parents about the situation I had gotten myself into.
Luckily enough for me, we were in the car driving along the highway and after getting a serious piece of their minds, they reluctantly brought me to the dentist to get it removed. Therefore, it was from that day onwards where I swore never to come near jelly beans again. Yes...I know what you're gonna say. What a stupid phobia to have right? Yeah, but that's how it is and so far I've fully stayed true to my words. No more jelly beans ever again!
