How my innate desire to be successful is perhaps the biggest reason why I am where I am today.

Now it's already been more than a year since I last sat for my very first public examination, with that being the IGCSE papers which I can honestly say I did...fairly alright. I mean 6As and a B, what's there to not be happy about right? And if we're moving onto college grades well, let's just say it kinda went along the same pattern as well quite literally.

But then again, to my high school mates, I guess hearing this news isn't really that much of a surprise is it? C'mon now. Don't kid yourselves. How many of you always had this preconceived notion that Bryan Ng could do no wrong. As the principal's son, it was a given that he'd excel at everything whether it be sports...academics...whatsoever.

I'd often hear different people say different things about why I was thriving, at least most of the time, throughout high school. Some said I was naturally smart. Others believed it was more of my work rate that got me through on a daily basis. The hard work, dedication, and just sheer mentality to complete assignment after assignment after assignment. And that, ladies and gentlemen, simply could not be further from the truth. Period.

Sitting comfortably on my roller chair as of right now, the 10th of January 2021, and writing this piece after all the accomplishments I've come through thus far, I can't help but feel lucky enough to have been blessed with this sort of mindset from a very young age which has rarely ever let me down. I am definitely aware of some of you lot out there who've perhaps never really felt inclined to go down the route that I took and will continue to do so, which is why I hope this piece will change your mind in any way, shape, or form. Remember that the will to succeed doesn't only have to come naturally, but can also be picked up at any given moment. And that's up to you to decide. See ya!
